Kampala: City Guided Walking Tour with Kabaka`s Palace
Kampala gets real quickly. This four-hour walk takes you from craft stalls and colonial monuments to markets, matatus, and the former royal palace. I like the small groups of up to six and the chance to hear about Uganda from guides such as Pius, Sharif, and Tajirl. I also like the flexible pace, which gives you time to ask questions and pause when the city gets hot.
The main drawback is the walking itself. Kampala can be hot, noisy, crowded, and demanding, with some less polished stretches between sights. The route may suit you less if you have mobility limits or prefer a neat procession of grand monuments.
